Just caught up with your situation Pete, having had to spend some time in hospital myself(my bottom end, but that's another story). Despite a harrowing way to have to get a tracheostomy, I know with your strength of character, you will pull through. You are in my thoughts and wish you a speedy recovery to a more stable respiratory state.

Another update...

Dad is improving still, although the inflated tummy turned out to be a distended bowel - ouch! Shocked

His chest is a bit better now, although he can "poo through the eye of a needle which is not good!". Dad also says thanks to everyone for their kind messages - he really has been very touched by the respopnses. He also says the staff in the Critical Care Unit have all been erally good and very helpful. He's also been using his lightwriter a bit more now, although he's not really up to typing out messages on the laptop yet. The biggest problem with that at the moment is not being able to sit up properly to see what he's doing, which I think is mainly due to the stomach-pains.

The wonders of modern technology though - I took his laptop down to the Hospital which I had copied a load of his music collection onto, so he picked a few CDs he wanted and I burnt copies of them there and then. I've also got Freecell (Windows card game) working entirely off the switch, although Dad hasn't tried that yet. This has me thinking about what else may be possible with it though - has anyone else got any suggestions for games that could be made switch-compatible?

Hi Matt,
Glad to hear that Pete is still improving, although the bowel problem sounds painful!
I've not got any switch accessible games but Sensory Software do some,as usual though they cost money.

Tell your dad that we are still thinking of him. Very Happy

I have started a new thread in the Computer section to list
any switch accessible games or websites.
