Subject: Chiplock's on Good Morning America

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that the Chiplock ALS story is supposed to appear on
Good Morning America TOMORROW, Wednesday, April 27th sometime between 7 - 9 am
est.

We aren't really sure what the segment will be like...the interview was
conducted more than 6 weeks ago, and Deneane's portion of the interview took
place rather late in the day when she was very tired. Frankly, she was
disappointed that she was not able to speak more about the need for in-home
nursing care reform. She is also frustrated by the fact that she can only speak
while using her BI-pap (a machine that assists with her breathing), as it makes
it more difficult for her to speak clearly and forcefully...and to be
understood.

They are hoping the segment will be linked to a recently created website that
should be up as of tomorrow. Please note that the website is still in
development...the address is http://www.chiplockfamilyalsfund.com/.

Deneane and Jerry want to extend all of their love and friendship to all of you
and want to say thank you for all the well wishes and prayers.

Thanks,
Sarah
(Dee's nurse)

Did anyone watch this. Dee has the aggressive form of SOD1 FALS. According to her, no family member of hers has gone more than 13 months total. However, she posted on BT that she was dx in Nov 2003. That says to me that she is doing something right, because that is at least 17 months. Could it be the Rocephin or the Rilutek?

Hi- I'm new-diagnosed in nov 04. I see the same Dr. D. Chiplock sees. I take 200 mg of Rilutek. I saw her on Good Morning...she is great. The Rocephin trial should be out this year- I'm waiting. Chiplock is an amazing woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
